Top 3 cities in Southern California
Whether you’re a beach lover, a foodie, or a history buff, SoCal has something for everyone.
- Santa Barbara
One of the top destinations in SoCal is the stunning city of Santa Barbara. Known for its beautiful beaches, Spanish architecture, and vibrant cultural scene, Santa Barbara offers a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration.

One of my favorite stops was the Santa Barbara Courthouse. It’s an iconic landmark in SB for over 90 years showcasing Spanish architecture. Inside the courthouse you’ll find stunning murals, hand painted ceilings, and ornate woodwork.
Santa Barbara has amazing beaches where you can soak up the sun, read, relax, or take a refreshing dip in the ocean. My favorite is Butterfly Beach. You could also explore Stearns Wharf, the oldest working wharf in California. It offers a charming waterfront experience where you can take a stroll browsing local shops and enjoying delicious seafood at one of the restaurants. This city is definitely a must visit.
- San Diego
My absolute favorite city of all times!!! Whether you’re a beach lover, history enthusiast, or nature explorer, this vibrant city is the place to be. I have so many favorite spots in SD that are absolute gems, including Balboa Park, La Jolla Cove, San Diego Zoo, and can’t forget Gaslamp Quarter.
I went to school in San Diego, so this place feels like home to me. The city is packed with amazing food everywhere you go. From Michelin Star restaurants like Nobu to authentic Mexican food like Tacos El Gordo, San Diego has it all. Gaslamp Quarter has bars and clubs for days, so if you like to party, come down to SD!

- Newport Beach
Another local gem is Newport Beach. It’s my favorite city in OC because its close and has almost everything you need for a fun packed day. Newport has one of the largest recreational harbors in the United States. Hop aboard a harbor cruise or rent a kayak to explore waterways lined with stunning waterfront homes and luxurious yachts.
Fashion lovers could shop till they drop at Fashion Island and nature lovers could hike with a view of the ocean. One of the best hikes in OC is Crystal Cove State Park, a hidden gem nestled between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. Hike along scenic trails that wind through coastal canyons, it doesn’t get any better than this.

So, whether you’re into sunbathing, sightseeing, or simply embracing the laid-back California vibe, Southern California has an array of must-see places that will leave a lasting impression. These are just my top 3 cities.
Feel free to reach out to me if you’re visiting soon and need any suggestions for activities, food or must-see places!
